Mean Street Art Gallery

Mean Street Gallery was an independent art gallery at 1411 Main Street that I cofounded in 2023 with three friends. The mission of Mean Street was to demystify the gallery experience, and bring our community into an art space. We did this by hosting curated shows combining touring and local artists, as well as a recurring series of conceptual open group shows called "Meaner Pastures." The idea for Meaner Pastures was simple yet profound: at the beginning of the opening the gallery walls are empty, and participating artists arrive with works of art to be hung salon style down the wall.

We threw 30 openings in two years and it was an amazing time.
